Challenges in recruitment in the existing scenario.
Hi All,
I`ve joined this Network recently. I would like to share my views & thoughts based upon current “RECRUITMENT SCENARIO”. Please share your valuable thoughts to improve article better.
As a Consultant:
Challenges in recruitment in the existing scenario
1.) Tough to place a Sr. Level Person as Cost deduction
everywhere
2.) Very rare hiring, tough to get good amount of
positions
3.) Candidates are very scared to move out
4.) Out Sourcing has been very slow, major hiring is been
done internally
5.) Off & on change in Hiring Criteria because of changing
market scenario
As markets become very slow and candidates are scare on Job Security part, hiring managers have higher expectations from the Consultants / Recruiter with whom they rely on. They expect their Consultants / recruiter’s to recommend solutions that will be focused on helping them compete more effectively.
How to overcome those challenges?
From a Consultant view:
It depends on how consultancies work on the process, like client, industry etc. it is hard to escape from the fact that there is hardly any businesses which is not suffering in this economic downturn.
Always remember it is the “role” that is redundant and not “you” as an individual. It is easy for people to take it personally, but it is never an easy decision for any company to make redundancies.
Be flexible with your salary.
Long-term relationships with hiring managers generally may be more profitable for the company.
Thanks & Regards
Rohit
