HCL to hire 110 professionals for polish operations
IT major HCL plans to hire over 100 IT professionals for its Polish operations in the next one year as a part of its overseas expansion strategy, a top company official said.
"We will hire 110 IT professionals to increase our strength from 140 to 250 in our Polish operations in the next one-year. We plan to expand our operations in Poland as the market there is developing rapidly," HCL`s General Manager(Global Delivery Centers), Siddhartha S, said here.
HCL started its Polish operations in 2007 and is servicing several Fortune 500 clients. The company employs professionals from 15 different countries and speaking 12 different languages.
"HCL will continue to expand its Polish operations going forward as the company sees a great potential in the IT sector there," Siddhartha said.
"Polish professionals can speak three to four languages and they are more talented than Indians (in language skills). They pick up languages very fast. So we are not facing any problem in hiring," he said.
"In Poland, business process outsourcing (BPO) companies are bigger than other IT companies," he said.
The Polish Government has been encouraging Indian IT companies to set up their operations there and recently has signed an agreement with the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry to strengthen business relations.
