Opening for Business Manager / Product Manager in Chennai with IT product Knowledge handling IT products



Exp : 4 - 10 yrs



Job Description:



Responsible for Business / Product Management, Sales and Profitability through channels (catered to by branch offices across the country)



Main Responsibilities:



1. Development of detailed sales and marketing strategic business



plans for each major market/region across the country



2. Achievement of sales and profitability targets for each product



category through various branches in the country



3. Drive targeted results with each branch office. Motivate and



guide the field sales to generate business through existing as



well as new channels.



4. Organize reseller/end user events on a national as well as



regional basis. Initiation of sales promotion schemes on a national



as well as regional basis



5. Pre and post-sales support to branch sales personnel in the form



of pricing, technical clarifications, delivery etc.



6. Manage relationships with principal firms and interactions



regarding product, pricing, promotion and delivery etc,.



7. Development of field sales and marketing support functions



across the country over time

Performs all other duties as requested.



Skills required :



Experience in handling large channel sales and product management of Software in the IT industry. Product knowledge of Software – Groupware/Security /Network /Systems / Database management



Requirements:



1. A minimum of four (5) years of demonstrated success in sales



and marketing (product) management experience in the IT



Software industry with a track record of increasing



responsibilities. At least 3 years experience in Software Product Mgmt



2. Strong presentation skills. Sales Certification



3. Comprehensive knowledge of the IT Software industry including



sales channels and competitors and technical knowledge of



products



4. Strong understanding of Software – Groupware, Security/Network/Systems/Database Mgmt.



5. Demonstrated ability to negotiate with principals, branch offices,



channels.



6. Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and organize.



7. Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal



English. Strong Mail Management skills.



8. Ability to travel out of area residence to all parts of the country



9. Ability to work under extreme pressure
