We have an opening for one of our client, a American based MNC in Chennai for the position " Assistant Manager - Costing " having minimum of experience of 3 years in manufacturing set up.

Desired Candidate Profile:
Candidates having experience in Manufacturing set up with " Cost Accounting " as the main domain will be highly preferred.
Summary:
Education: ICWA / CA ( The candidate should have completed CA / ICWA )
Location:Chennai
Compensation: As per the Industrial Norms
Experience: 3 yrs
Industry Type: Engineering / Manufacturing / Automobile / Auto Ancillary
Role: Assistant Manager - Cost.
Job Description:
The candidate should be strong in cost accounts.
Roles & Responsibilities :
Product Costing:
* Conducting cost comparison to analysis cost efficient product lines and to facilitate decisions on product pricing.
* Standard costing implementation for Products -Inventory
Process Costing:
* Preparation and analysis of Cost Statement for the jobs or projects undertaken
* Standard costing implementation for Work in Process
Analyzing Cost centers & Profit Centers:
* Department wise Expenses tracking.
* Segment wise Expenses tracking.
* Timely updation of cost sheet.
* Maintaining Cost Centre wise details on Expenses.
Standard cost implementation:
* Material consumption at standard cost.
* Closing of all purchase unidentified items monthly.
* Valuation of Scrap and proper allocation for Product development cost.
* Authorization of Part numbers and proper matching with appropriate ledgers.
* Analysis of Financial & Inventory ratios and reporting for variances.
* Should ensure Accounting and Inventory are integrated correctly.
* Reconciliation of Physical Inventory with Inventory books and Financial books.
Reporting Actuals :
* Preparation of monthly Profit & Loss account.
* Finalization of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss account.
* Meeting Monthly Budgets.
* Monitoring the HFM Chart of Accounts and ensure new accounts are updated in the ERP
* Monitoring the transactions for complying with the Accounting standards
Reporting Forecast:
* Compilation of dynamic Monthly, Quarterly, Annual Management reporting consisting of Projections, Rolling Forecast.
* Ensure that the books are appropriately closed on a timely bases for Trial Balance review & MIS as part of month end close process.
Quarterly Reports:
* Preparation of All Quarterly reports like Balance sheet review, segment report, FTR schedule, Management representation letter, Capital and Tooling schedule.
Interim Reports:
* Preparation of All Interim reports R&D Track, Grant of Authority, Labor Report, Product wise sales, Schedule 5a, 5b and 5c
Budget:
*Preparation of Preliminary reports for Budget, Multiple submission of Budget with proper assumptions.
* Tracking Expenses in Line with Budgets.
Sox Audit -Axentis:
* Management self testing.
* Focus on key control activities -6 cycles.
* Improve documentation.
