The Seven-Step Process

Over the years (and after many thousands of successful hires) we’ve learned a few things about recruiting. The most important thing we’ve learned is this: that every successful recruiting effort depends on the skillful completion of seven specific steps.

Looking at the Seven Steps, some of them are obvious. Others are less so. Making both the obvious and the less obvious work as hard as possible is what sets Seven Step Recruiting apart.

Our unique optimization-based approach treats each step as equally critical to success, and dedicates specific skills and resources to carrying out each individual step. We maintain strict standards of measurability and accountability for every one of them.

Step 1: SET UP

The set up stage is often overlooked in the rush to get things started, but it's critical to engineering a winning recruitment strategy. Seven Step believes in setting every task up to succeed from the very beginning with:

* Hiring Manager "kick offs" for optimum communication and teamwork

* 360 degree assessments of all new requisitions

* Full analysis of current posting strategy

Step 2: SOURCE

While sourcing is the most common task performed in recruiting, it's also often the most challenging. Seven Step not only finds great candidates, but we also have a process to establish an ongoing pipeline for talent through:

* Comprehensive database mining and applicant filtering

* Relentless networking for candidates and new candidate resources

Step 3: SCREEN

The phone screen is the first interaction between candidate and employer. Interest levels are won or lost right here. Seven Step guarantees that every candidate they screen and submit will be both qualified and interested by using:

* Extensive candidate phone screens

* Cogent techniques to sell the job

Step 4: SCHEDULE

Effective scheduling is about more than just marking times in a calendar. At Seven Step, we believe in total interview preparation. Candidates and Hiring Managers have more successful interviews because of our:

* Highly efficient scheduling and confirmation methods

* Deep candidate preparation

Step 5: FEEDBACK

Precious information gets lost if interview feedback isn't handled appropriately. At Seven Step, we'll manage this important follow up to keep everyone well-informed and maintain positive momentum in the process through:

* Quick turn around of interview feedback

* Analysis of candidate feedback with Hiring Managers

Step 6: OFFER

The offer stage is the culmination of all prior steps. At Seven Step, we believe strong acceptance rates can be achieved easily if the right steps are taken:

* In-depth candidate pre-closure

* Competitive salary/ offer analysis

* Rigorous management of background checks

* Effective communication of verbal and written offers

Step 7: HIRE

The hire stage is the all-important finishing touch. Seven Step understands how emotional and stressful it can be to start a new job and conducts comprehensive on-boarding to help new hires feel welcomed and well-prepared to join the company:

* Detailed execution of enrollment to company

* Thoughtful and thorough candidate preparation
