Florida: A 19-year old Florida teen, Abraham Biggs, reportedly committed suicide in a bedroom at his home, broadcasting it live on the internet. The crazy part of the story is that some viewers incited him on, sat back to watch the live show and then discussed whether what they were seeing was real.

A student of Broward Community College, Biggs swallowed a fatal dose of benzodiazepines, which he was prescribed for bipolar disorder, and opiates, after declaring on a bodybuilding website that he was going to kill himself. Some viewers contacted the website to notify police, but the police did not arrive in time. Police found him dead in his father`s bed 12 hours after he declared on the website that he planned to take his life.

When Abraham Biggs broadcasted the last moments of his life on the Internet, he joined a small fraternity of troubled young people who gains notoriety through death.

Almost 1500 online gawkers watched live video for 12 hours before police arrived, and this inaction enraged his family. Some were even taunting him with comments like, "Go ahead and do it". Biggs posted a link from there to Justin.tv, a live video streaming Web site, and trained a camera on him in bed. The troubled teen also posted a lengthy suicide note, in which he apologized to his family for ending his life the way he did. "I hate myself and I hate living," the note went on.

Biggs` father, Abraham Biggs Senior, said those who watched, and the website operators, share some blame in his son`s death. "I think they are all equally wrong. As a human being, you don`t watch someone in trouble and sit back and just watch," he added.

"Joking about it, laughing about it, watching somebody breathe and then not breathe," the victim`s sister, Rosalind Biggs broke down while saying this.

"I know, logically, that you can`t control what other people do. But there`s always that question, maybe something could have been done, or done differently," she added.
