Open Solutions Continues to Expand Operations in India; Opens 20000 sqft New Facility
Gurgaon, India. Monday, December 08, 2008 – Open Solutions Inc.®, a leading provider of integrated enabling technologies for financial services providers throughout the United States, Canada and other international markets, with its corporate headquarters in Glastonbury, CT, announced today the opening of a new additional 20,000 + sqft facility in Gurgaon. Open Solutions’ CTO – Mr. Rashid Desai will be flying in from Glastonbury for the opening ceremony.
The new office, which complements Open Solutions existing office in Gurgaon, marks the latest efforts in Open Solutions continual international expansion. Currently, Open Solutions Inc has a 2100 strong team working from 18 different locations. It has a client base of approx. 5400 clients.
Open Solutions’ India Development Centre (IDC) is crucial to Open Solutions Inc.’s strategic business expansion and worldwide growth.
Open Solutions’ India Development Centre (IDC) is strategically located in Gurgaon, the IT hub for north India. The current strength in India is 250+ and growing at a fast pace. The IDC is planned as the Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Microsoft .NET Technologies for the company. The IDC teams consist of highly skilled people in various expertise areas including business domain knowledge and technical product architecture. Company’s flagship products such as FAS (Financial Accounting System), cView (Customer View) are completely managed by IDC teams. IDC is playing a critical role in defining the future application architecture for Open Solutions Inc. IDC is also actively driving the key process improvement initiatives in the organization. Teams at IDC are experimenting with agile developments to improve on the time to market while maintaining and improving the quality of the products.
Open Solutions plans to continue to grow its India operations and create job opportunities at various levels. The new facility is housed at the 6th floor in the newly constructed BPTP Park Centra building and conveniently located right at NH-8, Gurgaon, next to Signature Tower. The facility is planned to be a state-of-the-art work place with all the modern communication facilities. It also boasts of a gaming zone equipped with the latest Wii gaming console to provide a unique fun @ work experience to its employees.
