Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA)’s flagship biennial conference, the South Asian Management Forum (SAMF), is attended by professionals from Member Institutions and invited colleagues from Academia, Industry and Government. Each SAMF has a distinctive theme of topical interest to the management community in the region. Apart from the Founding Conference in Hyderabad in 1988, nine such SAMFs have been organized at Hyderabad (India), Kathmandu (Nepal), Dhaka (Bangladesh) (2), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Thimpu (Bhutan), Pune (India), Male (Maldives) and Lahore (Pakistan).

On behalf of the AMDISA, Hyderabad, India, Royal Institute of Management, Thimphu, Bhutan is pleased to announce that the 10th South Asian Management Forum 2009 is scheduled to be held from April 9 to 10, 2009 (Thursday and Friday) at RIM, Thimphu. The Forum aims to provide a platform to bring together academicians, scholars, practicing managers and students of management and business of South Asian countries and exchange views and experience on the theme “Change and Continuity: Management Prospects and Challenges” and invite them to register and participate in the Forum.

Research papers and panel proposals are invited on all management topics with relevance to the conference theme and priority will be given to papers focusing on management issues in South Asia.

Forum Proceedings

AMDISA will publish the Forum Proceedings with the papers of the conference. Papers could also be published in AMDISA’s quarterly South Asian Journal of Management (SAJM) after further review. The SAJM is a prestigious publication and is indexed by EBSCO and PROQUEST, USA.

For more information about the conference, please visit the AMDISA and Royal Institute of Management web pages at www.amdisa.org and www.rim.edu.bt
