An Army recruitment rally for the posts of soldier (general duty), Soldier GD (non-metric) soldier (clerk/store keeper/technical), soldier (nursing assistants), soldier (tradesman) and re-enrolment of ex-servicemen (Soldier GD ) into DSC has been arranged at Sir M.Visweshwaraiah stadium, Kolar Stadium here from November 5 to 12.
Those who have applied for Havaldar education in Army Education Corps in response to the advertisement in employment newspaper of October 11, 2008 and issued with call letters will also be screened during the Rally.
The minimum eligibility for general duty soldier - SSLC with at least 45% in aggregate and minimum 32% marks in each subject; for soldier technical - pass in PUC (PCM combination); for nursing assistant - PUC (PCB combination)/ clerk - PUC (any stream) with 50 per cent marks in aggregate and minimum 40% marks in each subject; for soldier GD (non-metric)/solder( tradesman) SSLC and below. The age limit for Soldier (General Duty)Nursing Assistant/Non Metric is 17 1/2 to 21 years and for Soldier (Clerk/Store Keeper/Technical ) is 17 1/2 to 23 years.
